State bank of india is largest bank in india  .it is government owned company .

it is a public sector bank which is provide banking and financial services .it first founded in 1806 with the name bank of kolkata then this name change to imperial bank of india then 1956 it  name was renames to STATE BANK OF INDIA .it is a worldwide bank .the headquarter of sbi is maharashtra .it was first founded by Arundhati Bhattacharya it total revenue is ₹2.85 trillion (US$42 billion) (2016).total profit increases in 2016 is ₹127 billion (US$1.9 billion) (2016).total assests decrease is ₹30.72 trillion (US$460 billion) (2016) .this company now owned by government of india .293,469 number of employees in 2016 .www.sbi.co.in is main website .
